Alice Springs Zone Conference

Sunday morning we were up bright and early on the 5 1/2 hour drive to Tenant
Creek which is north of Alice Springs.  This is the view of the outback we saw
most of the way.  Pretty and green.

How do you like this speed limit?  Unfortunately all the way are kangaroo
and roaming cattle which are frequently standing in the road so you take your
life in your hands if you go this fast.

And then there is no speed limit!  The semi truck trains come screaming by
and blow you off the 2 way road.  We were happy when we arrived safely.

These are the great missionaries who serve in Tenant Creek- Elder McClutchie
and Elder Anderson. And, notice their super clean flat!  President Parker
loves these trustworthy obedient missionaries who can serve in such remote
areas of the mission and stay focused on the work and find and rescue.

After a sweet Sacrament Meeting and a delicious lunch prepared by these
missionaries, President Parker had the privilege of calling a new Primary
President of the Tenant Creek Branch. Congratulations to Maria who comes
faithfully to church each week and will bless many childrens lives.

We loved you instantly Maria and are excited for you to help these precious
children learn more about the Savior.

Some wonderful sights we saw on the way back to Alice Springs...the man
on the hill.

The "Way Out Bush" store.

And a beautiful bush sunset.  This was a great day!  Thank you Elders for
serving in this area of the Lords vineyard and bringing souls unto Christ.

Zone Conference

We flew early Saturday morning to Alice Springs and were greeted by Elder and
Sister Tennis and the Zone Leaders, Elder Hale and Elder U-Fa. Its always great
to be in Alice Springs with these incredible missionaries.

More valiant strippling warriors.  Doesn't get any better than these diligent
missionaries.  We are blessed by every one of them.

Elder Heindel and Elder Callahan-Bush Elders and their Ute!  Looks like they've
been out bush a few times.  Even the writing on their missionary badges
are filled with red dirt.  These are hard working trustworthy Elders who are
making a huge difference with the Bush Saints. We are so thankful for your
efforts and constant obedience Elders.  We love you.

We were pleasantly surprised that the weather in Alice Springs is beginning
to cool down.  Things were more green and the great weather added to the
great visit there.

Love these 2 missionaries from New Zealand.  We are going there someday!

March Zone Conference

March 17th we flew to Darwin with the assistants, Elder Matekohi and Elder
Flinders.  This was Elder Flinders first trip to the Northern Territory so we had
to get the photo of him jumping with the croc!

After being greeted at the airport by Elder and Sister Farrer, we stopped for a
quick bite of lunch. Notice the croc hanging from the ceiling in the back!

Its always a fun trip when we are able to travel with these 2 great missionaries
and the assistants to the President of this great mission.  They work so
incredibly hard, are 100% obedient and lead with love and diligence. We are
blessed to have their leadership, as they do all that they do because of the
great love they have for Jesus Christ.  Love these Elders.

Friday we enjoyed a great day of training with this fired up Darwin Zone!
Training included celebrating birthdays, Standing up for fruits and vegetables,
Elder and Sister Pearsons Mission Tour training as well as Leadership. The only
thing missing was Elder and Sister Farrer, and this is why........

While preparing vegetables to feed the missionaries after training, Sister
Farrer sliced her finger with a butcher knife.

After waiting in the emergency room and an x-ray, she got a few stitches and
joined us for the rest of the Zone Conference. A few miracles were involved
with this experience.  Heavenly Father watches over His missionaries.

Sister Farrer, with the help of Elder Farrer, still managed to fix a fabulous dinner
for all of us that evening. Hawaiian haystacks are a huge hit with this bunch
of missionaries.  Thank you Elder and Sister Farrer. We pray for a speedy
recovery. Love you.

Another great missionary has completed his fulltime mission and is returning
home to his family.  Elder Hefa will return to Tonga in the morning.  We enjoyed
dinner together before he left with his companion , Elder McMurray.

Dessert at the Mission Home with a few of our senior couples who love Elder
Hefa dearly. HEre he is with Elder  and Sister Wilmott, as well as Sister St. John.

The traditional cutting of the tie. We cleared another spot on the tie board just
for you, Elder Hefa.  We love you so much.

President Parker presenting Elder Hefas new Australia Adelaide Temple tie
to replace the one that we cut.

a great legacy in this mission Elder Hefa. We love you forever.

Elder Tolbert, Elder Coroton and Elder Matekohi saying goodbyes to Elder
Hefa.

Baptisms in the Australia Adelaide Mission

Congratulations to Steven Hey who was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter Day Saints in Katherine NT.  He was taught the Gospel by
these two great missionaries, Elder  Rivera and Elder Duabe. A day filled with
love and humility.

A few of the friends who attended.....

also, Jamiera Sailor was baptized. We are so happy you have chosen to be
baptized Jamiera. Your Heavenly Father loves you and is so pleased.

This is an unforgettable day for Fagasa and Tuafoe Ufagalilo. This wonderful couple
were recently married and now Foe was able to baptize Sa.  These great sister
missionaries, Sister Coultrop and Sister Freitas taught Sa how to follow
Jesus Christ and that by being baptized , she is following His example and becoming
like Him. Such great joy this day.  It was a privilege to share this time with
them. We are so happy for you Sa and Foe. We love you.
